Resumo
Macapá is a city of Amapá with a large number of unpaved roads, especially those with lower traffic. This study proposes two kind of road paving: Bituminous concrete hot-machined (CBUQ on Brazilian Portuguese) and Paving Concrete Interlocking. And intend to compare both in order to propose the best solution to Macapá´s paving defict. A comparative research considering two paving methods informed above was required for the purpose of understand and reduce paving problems in the city. Therefore, is necessary to perform a ground´s traffic study, after this, provide a structural dimensioning for each paving method considering unitary data, and make a technical/economy comparation. Based on a case study of a building work performed at 22 Jungle Infantry Brigade (22 JIB), and following the construction process of each paving method, analyzing together 22º JIB´s construction engineering team the concrete load tests and pluviometric studies in order understand each paving. Can be observed that the Military Village where 22º JIB is located has a lower traffic, the structural dimensioning was exceeded, the data collected on the study was incomplete preventing a suitable structural dimensioning of paving. However, the analysis of data provided by this study was satisfactory, each paving method input unitary data was compared, and was verified that Paving Concrete Interlocking method is the better solution to Macapá´s unpaved roads.
