Resumo
This paper presents an evaluation of the behavior of deep foundations regarding the load capacity and settlements from a scenario of analysis that considered the data of a work with 1,501 Continuous Flight Piles with ø300 and L = 9,0 m piles, 0 m, ø400 and L = 11,0 m, ø500 and L = 11,0 m. This research is mainly focused on the load x repression behavior in continuous flight piles. In this analysis it was also verified the applicability of the methods proposed by Aoki (1979) to determine the load x settlement curve through calculated settlement results. The load capacity values were compared with the methods of Aoki-Velloso (1975), Décourt-Quaresma (1978,1996), Teixeira (1996), Alonso (1996) and Antunes e Cabral (1996). Additionally, with the results of the load tests it was possible to compare with the estimated settlements by the methods of Cintra and Aoki and Poulos and Davis. For the prediction of the load capacity, the Alonso method provided the closest results to the breaking load, considered as the maximum test load or the value obtained by Van Der Veen extrapolation method of all the SLT load x settlement curves, since none reached the clear rupture. The calculated settlements values were relatively close to each other in several cases and, generally, discrepant with those obtained in the SLT trial, with some cases of noticeable proximity, however, in favor of safety in 10 of the 15 trials. In many cases, the predicted load x settlement curves have partially or fully provided results close to those obtained in load test. Overall, the results were considered geotechnically good, usually in favor of safety, although conservative.
