Ensino da língua inglesa: os desafios de uma escola estadual em Santana-AP em tempos de Covid-19

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has generated transformations around the world and in all spheres of society, with various psychological, social and, above all, educational impacts. The daily life of the entire population has changed and the school has also suffered from these impacts and has been trying to resignify educational activities within educational spaces. In this perspective, the present work aims to investigate, through bibliographical reviews and field research, the context of education in times of a pandemic, from the discussions of the theme, concepts and challenges of the new education that was originated by the coronavirus are presented. The methodology used is characterized by two biases, one being a bibliographic review where the work of some authors on the theme proposed here is presented and the other being an exploratory research, with the aim of clarifying concepts and aligning the thoughts presented in the work. It was concluded that COVID-19 provided us with new realities and challenges that involved the whole of society, for the teaching of the English language it was necessary to use remote tools for the best transmission of teaching and learning.
